Who we are:

NextChapter is a leading Commerce platform. We work for (inter)national companies for whom eCommerce is their core business. We let our customers sell through webshops (B2C / B2B), marketplaces, social media and basically all online sales channels. The power of NextChapter is: selling multichannel, from one central platform.

NextChapter is known in the market as highly innovative, progressive, high-quality and flexibly deployable. Some of the customers for whom we work include SPORT2000, Euretco, KlusWijs, BLOND Amsterdam, Vitatheek and TopShoe.

We have built the current NextChapter platform on our own over the past six years with our team of 25 eCommerce professionals (programmers, designers, project managers, marketers, etc.) and we are currently on the verge of breaking through. First on the national level and within two years also international.

Who we are looking for:

To grow NextChapter even further, we are looking for an enthusiastic new business hunter with a proven track record. Due to our good reputation in the industry, most new customers come to us via references. It will be your job to let us grow even more by actively approaching prospects that would suit NextChapter well. NextChapter has solutions for the following six target groups that you will focus on:

  • Brands for example clothing brands, but also brands of all other types of products. We can make their webshop (s) and access to market places such as Amazon, Bol and Zalando
  • Retailers who need to integrate their physical world with eCommerce
  • Pure players (online sellers)
  • Wholesalers who need to transform into new business models and for whom eCommerce is a new strategic spearhead
  • Franchise organizations doing eCommerce under a common name / formula
  • Service organizations / purchasing organizations / industry organizations looking for a collective eCommerce platform for their members

What else you will be busy with:

  • (Co) draw up a strategic sales plan
  • Further shaping NextChapter positioning
  • Follow and approach leads, create opportunities
  • Proactive networking (on- and offline) in the search for new customers
  • Giving presentations to new customers
  • Working out quotes and drawing up contracts
  • Take it to fairs, congresses, events
  • Customer relationships at consultative selling level focused on the long term

For this role we are looking for an experienced self-starter who sees it as a challenge to shape the role. You will build the sales team together with the CEO in the beginning, and go out with him to learn how NextChapter works and connects with the various target groups. It is important that you have no problem figuring out many things yourself as we do not yet have manuals and protocols for this. For this role we are looking for a consultative seller who has experience with processes and collaborations aimed at the longer term. We work in an atmosphere of partnership with our customers. You switch effortlessly at a strategic, tactical and operational level. The role has a lot of freedom, requires entrepreneurship and is a serious challenge.

You have / are:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in selling eCommerce or similar complex software solutions
  • HBO (+) working and thinking level
  • You speak and write excellent Dutch and English
  • Experience in the eCommerce industry
  • General knowledge of companies in the field of strategy, marketing, processes, technology
  • Affinity with business cases
  • A discussion partner at board level but also the layers below it
  • Someone who always keeps appointments
  • Excellent social skills and people knowledge
  • Independent, proactive, enthusiastic and commercial
  • Experience in consultative selling
  • Good references
