Who we are:

NextChapter is a leading Commerce platform. We work for (inter)national companies for whom eCommerce is their core business. We let our customers sell through webshops (B2C / B2B), marketplaces, social media and basically all online sales channels. The power of NextChapter is: selling multichannel, from one central platform.

NextChapter is known in the market as highly innovative, progressive, high-quality and flexibly deployable. Some of the customers for whom we work include SPORT2000, Euretco, KlusWijs, BLOND Amsterdam, Vitatheek and TopShoe.

We have built the current NextChapter platform on our own over the past six years with our team of 30 eCommerce professionals (programmers, designers, project managers, marketers, etc.) and we are currently on the verge of breaking through. First on the national level and within two years also internationally. We recently recruited an investor with whom we will realize these plans. We are growing fast and to expand the current Front-end team we are looking for reinforcement because of a number of great projects that are coming up.

Who we are looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Front-end Development
  • Experience in HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of LESS and SCSS is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript is a bonus
  • Experience with Razor syntax is an advantage
• Experience with Visual Code, Visual Studio and GIT
• Experience with responsive design
• Affinity with the e-commerce industry
• Good communication skills
• You speak and write excellent Dutch and English (Spanish is an advantage)
• Proactive, self-starting, can-do mentality

What else you will be busy with:

• As a Front-end Developer you are responsible for the overall implementation of the web shops that use our platform. You ensure that all our web shops and modules function optimally on all possible devices.
• You think about technical choices, such as our architecture, tools and processes. You make our platform a little better every day.
• You are part of our team in which you continuously improve your knowledge and skills. Our team now has loads of experience. You will be working with the smartest people. It will help you take yourself to the next level.
• You will work closely with our Product Owners, Back-end Developers and UX Designers for the innovative roadmap and new features.
